Originally a railroad town known as Prescott Junction, Seligman was renamed in 1886 for Jesse Seligman, a railroad financier. Later it became a stopover on Route 66, however when the city was bypassed by the I-40 in 1978 it suffered a severe economic blow. Luckily through the hard work of Angel Delgadillo and other Seligman residents, Route 66 was designated a historic highway. The land around Seligman is comprised of various ranches.
Head northwest on Route 66, exit Hyde Park Road (at MM 117) to enter Antelope Valley Ranch. Mostly off-grid, these parcels range from 20-40 acres. Just 12 miles east of Peach Springs.
Sierra Verde Ranch is a large ranch and can be accessed off exits 103, 109, 121 and 123 from the I-40. Most of the properties are off grid and range from 10 to 40 acres.
Bridge Canyon Country Estates is accessed from Fort Rock Road exit off historic Route 66, about 4 miles north of Seligman. Many of the closer parcels have electricity, though there are plenty of off-grid properties too. The parcel sizes range from 1 to 5 acres.
Westwood Ranch lies off Crookton Road between Seligman and Ash Fork. These parcels are off-grid and range from 20 to 40 acres.
